New Year celebrations cannot be held in Delhi till late at night as a curfew has been imposed in Delhi from tonight. ۔ This night curfew will apply tonight from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rate of corona infection in Delhi on Sunday exceeded 0.5%, which falls under the yellow zone of the Corona Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the national capital Delhi.
The night curfew will be in force from 11pm to 5am, officials said. The UNI had said in its report on Saturday that it was considering imposing a night curfew in Delhi. The decision was taken after the state government entered the first tier of code grap. Based on the gravity of the Code-19 situation in Grape, measures ranging from night curfew to complete lockdown have been ordered.
A total of 290 new cases of corona were reported in the national capital on Sunday, resulting in the death of one patient, while the positivity rate was recorded at 0.55%. Between December 18 and December 26, 1348 new cases of Corona were registered in Delhi, while the positiveness of the case increased from 0.13% (December 18) to 0.55% on December 26.

The daily increase in the number of positive cases in the national capital has come after the issue of Corona’s Omicron variant came to light. As of Sunday morning, 79 cases of Omekron were reported in Delhi, of which 23 were discharged from the hospital after recovery.
According to the guidelines of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), based on the prevalence of the infection, the status of Code 19 has been classified into four graphene grades. This is done when the positivity rate exceeds 0.5% for two consecutive days. 1500 new cases are registered in a week and 500 patients need oxygen beds.
Level-2 (Amber) is issued when the positive transaction rate exceeds 1% for two consecutive days. Within a week, 3,500 new code 19 cases are registered and 700 oxygen beds are filled.
Level-3 (Orange) is issued when the positivity rate exceeds 2% for two consecutive days. In addition, the number of new cases should be 9000 in a week in which 1000 patients will need oxygen beds.
Level 4 (Red) is issued when the positivity rate is more than 5% for two days in a row, more than 16000 new codes a week. 19 cases are reported and 3000 patients are admitted on oxygen bed.
Night curfew in Delhi will remain on Level-1 alert. In addition to the night curfew in Level 2 and 3, a weekend curfew will also be imposed. Level 4 alerts will be issued for city lockdown calls.
