Mass humiliation in Mumbai’s Shivaji Nagar MUMBAI: Four people allegedly gangraped a girl on Saturday morning in the eastern city of Mumbai. On Sunday, senior inspector Arjun Rajan of Shivaji Nagar police station informed that all the four accused in the accident have been arrested by the police. Police say two of the four suspects arrested are minors. The matter is being investigated. The police officer had said on Saturday that three minors involved in the accident in Shivaji Nagar area have been arrested and search for the fourth accused is on.

The incident of mass humiliation took place at around 4.30 am on Sunday in a slum on Matty Road in Mumbai’s Shivaji Nagar, police said. He said the 19-year-old woman was working with some caterers and was returning from work when the accident happened. The officer had said that the accused had fled the scene after the accident, after which the victim called the police and informed about the accident. He had said that an FIR has been registered in this regard under various provisions of IPC.

At least 10 police contingents were deployed at Vajrishori, Membra, Vashi, Belapur, Wadala, CSMT, LT Marg, Mumbai Central railway stations. The officer said that with the help of technical knowledge, the two minors were taken into custody while they were trying to flee to Uttar Pradesh by train on Saturday afternoon. After questioning the two, police found out about another juvenile suspect and arrested him. On Sunday, the police informed that all the accused of the accident have been arrested.
