Russian biathlete Anton Babikov won the small Crystal Globe in the individual races of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) Cup.
Recall that today, January 26, Babikov won silver in the individual race at the European Championships in Arber, Germany. The Russian hit 20 targets out of 20, losing 11.6 seconds to Norwegian Sverre Dalen Aspens. Bronze – the German Matthias Dorfer.
Based on the results of three races, Babikov scored 97 points. Second place went to the Frenchman Oscar Lombardo, who also has 97 points. The third was the Norwegian Sverre Dalen Aspens (88 points).

30-year-old Babikov is the 2017 world relay champion, winner and prize-winner of the World Cup stages, as well as a three-time European champion. The biathlete was included in the national team for the Winter Olympics in Beijing as a substitute.
The European Championship in Germany takes place from 26 to 30 January. Today there will also be an individual race for women, which will start at 16:00 Moscow time.
