At the airport of Chelyabinsk, the plane collided with a bird

The plane en route from Chelyabinsk to Novosibirsk suffered a collision with a bird but continued to follow its destination. This was reported in the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office.

As it became known, on Wednesday at 17.10 (15.10 Moscow time) a collision with a bird occurred at the Balandino airport in Chelyabinsk during the takeoff of an S7 Airlines vessel. However, no damage was caused to the aircraft, so the aircraft commander decided to proceed to the destination airport – Novosibirsk.

However, the Chelyabinsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office still organized an investigation into the incident. The task of the audit is to find out how accurately the pilots and airport services complied with the requirements of the legislation on ensuring flight safety.
