Four-time Olympic champion biathlete Alexander Tikhonov commented on the decision of the US authorities to declare a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Olympics, which will be held in Beijing.
In his opinion, the absence of Americans at the Games will only play into the hands of other countries.
“The diplomatic boycott of the Games by the Americans is a holiday for the rest of the world. The United States is the most painful place on earth, its cancer,” Tikhonov said.
He also added that in the absence of the United States, the Beijing Olympics will be held without scandals.
