Russia allegedly continues to increase the number of troops on the border with Ukraine and is pulling a lot of military equipment there.

The Bloomberg agency , referring to satellite images of the British company Janes, reports that Russia allegedly continues to increase the number of troops on the border with Ukraine and is pulling a lot of military equipment there.

According to the newspaper, the photographs show that air defense systems, tanks and artillery weapons have been moved to the Ukrainian border since November.

At the same time, Bloomberg claims that “there is a rather limited number of Russian military on the ground,” but if necessary, Russia “will be able to quickly strengthen its position” by transferring the necessary military formations by rail or air.

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine told the newspaper that, according to preliminary data, there are about 122 thousand Russian soldiers at a distance of no more than 200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

US intelligence officials said Russia may be planning an invasion of Ukraine as early as next month. Up to 175 thousand soldiers can take part in the operation. At the same time, most of the military personnel have already taken up positions near the border with Ukraine.

Moscow denies this information, emphasizing that no one is threatened, and the movement of troops within the country should not bother anyone.
