Chandoli, Dec 16: Four youths, including three brothers, were killed when a car overturned and fell into a canal in Baburi area of Uttar Pradesh’s Chandoli district, police sources said on Thursday. A car sank in a roadside canal near the village. Demonstrating diligence, the police smashed the car window and gate and took the youths to the district hospital where doctors declared them dead.
The deceased have been identified as Sukho Yadav, Billi Ram Prajapati, Ganga Sagar and Vidyapati Prajapati, residents of Sherwa village in Jamalpur area of Mirzapur district, he said.
Additional Superintendent of Police Chiranjeevi Mukherjee said that the four youths from Mirzapur district were coming towards Chandoli in a car when their car became unbalanced and fell into a canal near Bhadkurwa village in the police station area. All four died from drowning.
According to the relatives of the deceased, Dev’s three sons Ganga Sagar, Vidya Sagar and Balaram along with their partner Sukho Yadav son of J. Mort Yadav had left Rewasa village Bahu by car on Wednesday. Leaving his sister-in-law at his house, they were returning from the car at 11 pm when the car overturned and fell into the water near Bharukwa village.
