In the coming 2022, a number of changes await Russian pensioners. Let’s talk about the most significant of them.
Since January 1, the size of insurance pensions has been indexed in Russia – they have been raised by 5.9 percent, thus the average size of an insurance pension exceeded 17 thousand rubles.
Next year, pensions will be indexed by 5.6 percent, in 2024 – by 5.5 percent. Thus, in 2023, the average pension will be 17.9 thousand rubles, in 2024 – 18.7 thousand rubles.
The amount of the fixed payment to the insurance pension (the basic part of the pension guaranteed by the state) from January 1, taking into account the indexation, is 6401 rubles.
Social pensions and state pensions will be indexed by 7.7 percent from April 1, 2022. In 2023, social pensions will be raised by 2.5 percent, in 2024 – by 9.9 percent.
Social pensions are assigned to Russians who, for various reasons, have not been able to develop sufficient work experience to receive an insurance pension. Social pensions are assigned five years later than insurance benefits. In total, more than three million citizens in Russia receive social pensions.
The pensions of working pensioners are not indexed, but they are adjusted on 1 August each year. The size is calculated individually, but it cannot exceed three factors.
One coefficient is equal to 104.69 rubles, so the maximum increase in the pension of working pensioners will not exceed 315 rubles. At the same time, citizens do not need to contact the FIU, the increase is assigned automatically.
In 2022, Russians who have reached the age of 61.5 years for men and 56.5 years for women will receive the right to an insurance pension . Moreover, they must have sufficient work experience and pension coefficients.
If they are not enough, the retirement period will be postponed for the period during which the citizen must gain experience and coefficients. If the required indicators are not achieved, the citizen is assigned a social pension.
Also, from 2022, Russian pensioners who are officially declared bankrupt will not be able to write off pensions to pay off debts. Among other things, Russians will be able to apply to the FIU with a request to pay them their pension in advance , but this can only be done if an emergency regime has been declared in the region.
In the event that pensioners move from rural areas to cities, the so-called “rural allowance” will be retained . Its size is 25 percent of the fixed payment to the insurance pension – about 1,600 rubles.
