New Delhi: Chief Justice Ramna of India NV Ramana has expressed concern over the lack of investigative journalism, saying that it is unfortunately disappearing from the media.

On the occasion of the launch of the book ‘Blood Sanders: The Grade Forest Hest’ written by senior journalist Sudhakar Reddy Adomula, Chief Justice Ramna recalled the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the field of journalism. Justice Ramna cited several examples of Mahatma Gandhi. He said that newspapers should be read to investigate the truth and they should not be allowed to break the habit of free thinking.

“I hope the media will act responsibly in the light of these views of Mahatma Gandhi,” he said. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court commended its author Adomola for his book on the protection of forest ecosystems and advised that a major change would take place if local people joined the effort.
