New Delhi: As many as 258,000 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data released on Monday. In the same period, 385 people have died from Covid-19. There was a drop of 13,113 in new cases compared to Sunday. According to figures released by the Ministry of Health on Monday, the total number of new variants of Corona virus in India has risen to 8,209. This is an increase of 6.02% over Sunday. So far it has spread to 29 states.

Positivity rate in the country 19.65%

The number of positive cases of coronavirus in India has reached 16,56,341 on Monday. The active case is 4.43% while the recovery rate is 94.27%. In the last 24 hours, 1,51,740 people in the country have recovered from Corona. The daily infection rate is 19.65%. The weekly infection rate is 14.41%.

Omicron cases in India exceed 8,000

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday, the total number of new variants of Corona virus in India has reached 8,209. This is an increase of 6.02% over Sunday. So far, it has spread to 29 states. Maharashtra has the highest number of 1738 cases. While in West Bengal 1672 cases have been registered. There have been 1276 cases in Rajasthan.
