The World Health Organization (WHO) has once again recognized Europe as the world center for coronavirus infections. Compared to summer and early autumn, in most European countries, the incidence of coronavirus has increased tenfold. The vast majority of patients, as well as those in intensive care units, are unvaccinated.
Germany
In Saxony, Germany, the increase in coronavirus cases is the highest in Germany. At the same time, this federal state has the lowest vaccination rate in the country. German Minister of Health Jens Spahn called what is happening “a pandemic of the unvaccinated”,
Denmark
The kingdom’s authorities are discussing a return to the practice of mandatory presentation of vaccination certificates by citizens when they visit public places. At the same time, the government plans to introduce additional restrictions to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Netherlands
Starting today, a partial lockdown will be introduced throughout the country. The reason for such a tough and unpopular measure was the sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19. Restaurants and shops have been ordered to close earlier; in public places, people will again have to comply with the norms of social distancing. The Dutch will be able to host no more than 4 guests at a time. It is planned that the restrictions will be in effect for at least three weeks.
Romania
Due to the collapse in which the country’s healthcare system is located, it was decided to send patients with severe COVID-19 for treatment to neighboring countries. Four Romanians have already been evacuated by sanitary aviation for further treatment in Italy. In the coming days, due to the acute shortage of places in Romanian hospitals, citizens of this country will be sent for treatment to Hungary, Poland and Austria.
Great Britain
The British celebrate a small victory with the country’s longest continuous weekly decline in new cases of COVID-19. The number of hospitalizations diagnosed with coronavirus also decreased by more than 10%. Scientists believe that positive statistics are provided by a high level of immunization of the population achieved in one way or another, and not by quarantine restrictions.
China
The Chinese authorities have begun checking for the presence of coronavirus on goods sent to buyers by mail. And they demanded that all retailers sanitize the mail. The reason for this was the coronavirus, diagnosed in three workers of one of the companies that sell children’s clothes by mail.
