After a terrible attack by a dog on a security guard of a closed facility of one of the law enforcement agencies in the north-west of the Moscow region, investigators opened a criminal case. The wife of the deceased man complained that a month before the incident, the dog had bitten her too. And the tragedy itself could have happened due to the fact that the owner did not feed the pet for several days.
Recall that on November 5, in the afternoon, an aggressive Alabai broke free, attacked a 77-year-old security guard of a secret institution and killed the victim to death. The animal was driven away from the body, and he was euthanized on the same day.
As it became known to “MK”, a dog named Philip (some called him Lev) was handed over to the object in September this year from the nursery. It is not known what functions the animal performed in the organization, but, according to the wife of the deceased (she worked with her husband), the dog belonged to the head of the security organization. The dog sat on a leash around the clock, which was a metal cable with a carbine, but the device was unreliable, and the Alabai periodically rushed at the facility staff. A month before the tragedy, on October 8, Philip once again freed himself and grabbed the woman’s hand. The dog was driven away, and the woman was taken to the hospital by a colleague. After that, no one took any measures, and the Alabai attack was repeated. On November 5, the 77-year-old security guard went to the toilet during working hours and did not have time to close the door behind him – an aggressive animal overtook the man. Everything happened in front of his wife.
– I screamed, tried to drive away the dog, poured water over it, but the dog seemed to go mad, – explained the wife of the deceased.
According to the source, after the incident, the investigators opened a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Negligence”. The woman was recognized as a victim, she handed over to law enforcement officers medical documents about her injuries after the attack of the Alabai, as well as her torn jacket. The security chief became a suspect in the case. Also, an eyewitness said that neither she nor her husband fed the dog. According to one of the versions, because of the lockdown, Philip had no one to bring food (the owner could not appear at the facility), and this explains the attack of the starving dog. It is also planned to exhume the dog’s carcass. It is possible that Alabai was infected with rabies. In addition, the study will help to confirm or refute the words of the wife of the deceased that he was starved.
As the representative of the injured party, attorney Andrei Akimov, told MK, the attack happened during official hours, and the dog had nothing to do with the deceased. The guard’s relatives will seek to establish the perpetrators of the tragedy and compensation.
