Zenit striker Serdar Azmun may move to the German Bayer in the winter transfer window. The Bundesliga club is ready to pay two to three million euros for the 27-year-old Iranian footballer to speed up his transition, reports Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger on Twitter.

According to the source, the promptness of the actions of the leadership of the “pharmacists” will depend on the possible departure of striker Lucas Alario, in which the two clubs have an interest.

Last week, the press service of Bayer announced the signing of Azmoun’s contract. He will join the German club in the summer on a free transfer as his contract with Zenit expires in June. The media reported that after leaving for negotiations with Bayer, Azmun passed a positive test for coronavirus. It was also reported that Zenit could fine or send an Iranian to the youth team for violating medical regulations.

Bayer Leverkusen are pushing to sign Sardar Azmoun from Zenit St. Petersburg immediately. The #Werkself are keen to pay €2-3m to get the Iranian attacker already in this winter period. It also depends on whether Lucas Alario leaves who has two concrete offers. 🇮🇷 @SPORT1 https://t.co/gXSI7Kr9ot

Bayer Leverkusen are third in the Bundesliga standings with 35 points after 20 rounds. Bayern are leading with 49 points. Aptekari also play in the Europa League.
