The children’s walk ended on Saturday with a tragedy in a city in the south of the Moscow region – a nine-year-old boy drowned in a pond. Shortly before this, the child’s mother fell ill with coronavirus and, fearing for the health of her son, transported him to her ex-husband.
As it became known to “MK”, a 34-year-old woman recently divorced and, for the sake of the future of three children, moved from a small one-room apartment to a spacious three-ruble note in the neighboring area. 6-year-old Sveta, 9-year-old Maxim and 14-year-old Sasha (all names have been changed) lived in perfect harmony under the care of their mother, but then the woman suddenly received a positive test result for coronavirus. Fearing for the safety of her children, the mother of many children sent everyone to stay with their father.
On Saturday afternoon, a woman who had just recovered from an illness received a call from her ex-husband with the news that 9-year-old Maxim had drowned. The mother of many children immediately hung up, thinking that due to the recent divorce, the husband decided to make such a cruel joke. And yet, worried, the woman called her ex-mother-in-law, who confirmed that grief had happened in the family.
The 42-year-old father, as usual, let his son go to play on the playground in the courtyard of the house. However, Maxim and two friends, without warning the adults, went to the pond, where, according to the grandmother of the deceased, there were never any barriers. They went out onto thin ice. During the game, two guys began to go under the water. The third boy (an 11-year-old boy) rushed to save his childhood friends, but he managed to pull only one friend ashore – the victim was hospitalized in a local hospital. Later, rescuers took out Maxim’s body.
