Details of the night massacre in Solnechnogorsk: jealousy is to blame

The former ruling bishop of the Anadyr-Chukotka diocese, Diomid (60-year-old Sergei Dzyuban), died in a terrible accident on the Vologda-Novaya Ladoga federal highway on the evening of November 20.

As 47News reports , Vladyka Diomede was in the front passenger seat of a Kia Sorento SUV during a collision with a MAN truck.

The car was driven by a 48-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, who runs a company that provides services in the field of accounting and auditing. In the back seat was her 72-year-old namesake, who also died as a result of the accident. An Estonian citizen who was driving a truck was also injured in the accident. He was hospitalized with a bruise and a broken leg.

Vladyka Diomedes headed the diocese in Chukotka in July 2000. In the development of the diocese, he was actively assisted by Roman Abramovich, who at that time was the head of the region. However, then Diomede came into conflict with the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church and in the summer of 2007 he was removed, and in the fall of 2008 he was defrocked.
