Kiev politicians talk about an imminent war with Russia almost every day. If you believe them, then Russia has already concentrated armadas of tanks and other military equipment near the Ukrainian border, for example, in the Voronezh region, and is about to move its armies towards Kiev. All these invented scenarios were criticized by the former Deputy Defense Minister, head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov.
Colonel-General Kartapolov has combat experience, at one time he commanded our group in Syria. As he said on the YouTube channel “Solovyov Live”, the knowledge of Ukrainian politicians about the nature of the conduct of hostilities is very outdated. The general explained that the forms of warfare are determined by the tasks facing the troops: either it is some kind of local task, or the maximum task, “where it is necessary to completely destroy or demoralize the enemy.”
“Of course, at the first stage, an air offensive operation will be carried out, and its goal is to completely withdraw … opposing means, control systems, main military facilities, air defense systems, ammunition depots, communications. So that later you can go to solve problems. But again, not in waves of infantry, as it was during the Great Patriotic War, ”said Kartapolov.
According to him, “they do not have and cannot have a military perspective.” He called the leaders of Ukraine “a bunch of politicians who accidentally came to power.”
Speaking about the recent unscheduled exercises of the US and NATO navies in the Black Sea, Kartapolov said: “We are not conducting exercises in the Gulf of Mexico. Although there are friendly Cuba and Venezuela there ”. “What would happen if every month 2-3 ships came to the shores of California or Alaska?” – he asked a question. On the words of the host that this is a good idea, Kartapolov said: “Let’s see, maybe it will be implemented someday.”
According to him, any variant of US military action against Russia or China “would be suicide for them.” “There will be no more America, nothing, no Europe …” – said the general.
