A six-year-old boy experimenting with a faulty Christmas tree garland received an electric shock on Sunday in southwestern Moscow. The young Muscovite ended up in the hospital.
As it became known to “MK”, the accident occurred in a family with six children. On Sunday, the whole family decorated the New Year tree. Out of curiosity, the children stole and tore one of the garlands that had been placed on the tree. The head of the family removed the spoiled decoration to the top shelf of the cabinet. One of the younger children probably wanted to understand what had happened to the garland – as soon as the parents turned away, the child stood on a chair, took the garland and plugged it into an outlet.
Fortunately, the kid’s fright turned out to be more serious than the injury. The boy is promised to be discharged from the burn department of the capital hospital in the near future.
