Kanpur: A video of police brutality has come to light from Kanpur villages of Uttar Pradesh. In this video, a police officer is raining sticks on a person and the child is crying in the lap of the person with whom this shameful act took place.
In this video of less than a minute, it can be seen that the person who was being killed was repeatedly appealing to the police that the child would get hit, don’t hit but the policeman was not ready to believe. UP police is being heavily criticized on social media over the video. According to media reports, the baton-throwing SHO has been suspended, however, police said in their defense that the man who was being beaten and his brother were making a commotion in the hospital.
BJP MP Varun Gandhi has also raised his voice in the matter. He tweeted that a strong system is one where even the weakest person can get justice. It is not that those who seek justice should face this barbarism instead of justice, it is very painful. Fearful society is not an example of the rule of law. A powerful system is one where the law is feared, not the police.
The police did what was referring to the protest demonstration of the employees of the Hospital District Hospital. Employees were protesting against the excavation in the armpit as its dust was flying and filling the entire hospital, but in the meantime, the police action against the father who took the child has raised serious questions. The administration alleges that patients were harassed by hospital staff. It was the responsibility of the administration and the police to remove them. According to police, by the first conversation, protesters were asked to remove, but when not talked, the stick was charged. Meanwhile, police beat up District Hospital Employees Leader Rajneesh Shukla and took him away in a police vehicle.
