Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at a press conference following talks with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto, assessed the Crimean Platform forum initiated by the Ukrainian authorities.

Lavrov himself described the forum as “an absolutely empty propaganda venture that has no prospects.” He also said that the Russian Foreign Ministry knows about the methods “that are used to force the allies to join such senseless actions.”
The result of the forum, according to Lavrov, was “a falsely understood solidarity between the EU and NATO members.”
