According to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the created union state with Russia will be more powerful than the European Union. He explained that Moscow and Minsk will take into account all the mistakes of the EU and take all the best from the USSR.about:blank

The Belarusian leader shared his thoughts on the creation of a union state with the Turkish television and radio company TRT, extracts from Lukashenka’s speech are published by BelTA.

“Our union with Russia will be more advanced and stable,” the president said, adding that both the mistakes of the Europeans and the positive experience of EU politicians will be taken into account.

Lukashenko also remembered the USSR. “After all, we came out of a single state – from the Soviet Union. And we have already tried a lot there,” he said.

Lukashenko is sure that when creating a union between Russia and Belarus, all the positive aspects from the Soviet past should be left behind, as this will make the new union more powerful, thoughtful and advanced.

At the same time, Lukashenka does not know exactly when this union state will be created; he and Russian President Vladimir Putin do not set any specific deadlines. “2025, 2030 or any year. We will go step by step, solving problems,” he concluded.
