MUMBAI: Chaos erupted in the police department on Friday after receiving threats to blow up the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station and the suburban Kerala railway station in south Mumbai. After which a search was conducted at both the stations for more than five hours but no suspicious item was found.
Upon receiving the call in the police control room, police personnel including Railway Police Protection Force and Bomb Disposal Squad conducted a search operation at the railway station for more than five hours.
Railway Commissioner Qaiser Khalid said, “The caller threatened to blow up CST and Kerala railway stations with explosives. After that, different teams of police searched the corners of both the police stations.
Khalid said that during the search operation, the police teams did not find anything suspicious, the caller has been identified and an investigation into the matter has been started.
