Nissan’s St. Petersburg plant will not come out of downtime until 2023. “The downtime extension has been confirmed until the end of December. The employees of the enterprise were informed,” the press service of the enterprise told Fontanka on September 12.

Earlier, Reuters reported about the extension of the suspension of the plant. The company stopped work in March 2022 due to problems with the supply of components. Prior to this, management assumed that the conveyor might not be launched until the spring of 2023.

According to Asia Times Now, the other two auto plants also continue to be idle. Hyundai has so far informed employees about the shutdown until the end of September, and Toyota until December 2022.
