WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) – US President Joe Biden has said that the country is beginning to grow an omicron variant of the corona virus. “It’s here now, it’s spreading and it’s growing,” Mr Biden said at the White House on Thursday.
He said his administration had taken steps to curb the spread of Omicron.
He said that due to the steps taken by the administration to stop the spread of Omicron variant, it is not spreading in the country as fast as it is spreading in Europe.
He appealed to the people to get vaccinated and said that booster shot is effective.
