As each year pass by, Telangana marches with a sense of pride blowing trumpet of prudence, of its best-in-place, use of technology for the systemic convenience of the state administration and simplifying citizen services that echoes pan India.
The astounding revelation of a study that more than 600 services from over 60 Departments of the State Government are all delivered on a single platform popularly known to be MeeSeva-(Electronic Service Delivery) with its accessible availability in all the 33 Districts, of Telangana state caught the attention of various state Governments in India.
Resultantly, only during the last just concluded year of 2022, on the 02 of June, a delegation from West Bengal State led by Dr P B Salim, IAS, Secretary, Monitoring & Co-ordination, visited Department of IT&C of Telangana State to study MeeSeva, T-App Folio, RTA FEST, RTDAI and T Wallet etc., and on the 15 of June, during the same month, a delegation from Punjab State led by Shri Manvesh Singh Sidhu, IAS, Secretary, Revenue & Rehabilitation & Commissioner-Roopnagar Division visited Telangana to study ‘Dharani’ project.
Patimeedi Jagan Mohan Rao, Chairman, Telangana State Technology Services, while speaking to our spokesperson, says, ‘Though, there had been a galaxy of delegations visiting our state to develop understanding towards various technological developments in our state between the years 2016 to 2021, from the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland, Odisha & Jammu & Kashmir including foreign delegation from Bangladesh and Kenya, we keep striving towards nothing less than excellence.’ He went on to explain that “I firmly believe in team-work and that technology should become more handy and purpose- striven for the citizens.”
Responding to a question on how does he see these multiplicity of delegations from different states and internationally to Telangana, Chairman, TSTSL, P Jagan Mohan Rao says, “we receive them with humility as part of sharing best practices and also feels good to receive an acknowledgement for the good work, we are doing but nevertheless, there is lot more to be done.”
Given the developments in the field of technology and a maturity with which Govt. of Telangana under the leadership of Hon CM KCR has accorded it, it can be ascertained that Telangana has given technology its due place for the betterment of people’s services.
