BJP : Amidst farmers’ displeasure with the government, the Sanyukat Kisan Morcha today launched ‘Mission UP’ in view of the Uttar Pradesh elections. The farmers have made it clear that they will go door to door distributing leaflets and take to the field with the slogan ‘Punish BJP’.

Initiating ‘Mission UP’ at a press conference in Delhi on Thursday, the Sanyukat Kisan Morcha said that the farmers had agreed with the government on five points, on which the government had also issued a letter. After that the peasant movement was postponed. Unfortunately, no committee has been formed on MSP till date, no action has been taken on the issue of withdrawal of cases against farmers, there was also issue of penalty on straw, and no action has been taken on electricity bill.

The farmers have announced that 57 farmers’ organizations of Uttar Pradesh will help the Sanyukat Kisan Morcha’s’ Mission UP ‘and will go door to door to appeal to the UP voters to ask questions to the leaders. We will ask some questions on our behalf in these pamphlets which the people will ask the government.

Farmers leaders said that during the election, farmers will hold press conferences at 9 places including Meerut, Muradabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Siddharth Nagar, Gorakhpur and Banaras. Farmer leader Yogendra Yadav has once again made it clear that he will not seek votes for any party. He said that his aim was only to harm the BJP.

In a press conference, Rakesh Takit said that farmers had high hopes for the budget. Elections are being held in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and farmers leaders will also hold a press conference there. Rakesh Takit said that the only appeal to our people would be to ask them questions, because the government does not meet anyone. We sat for a year, we didn’t even get it. We have given some questions, ask those questions. Talk to the government in your own language.

Rakesh Takit said that when there was a problem in front of farmers in Rajasthan, we went there. Sugarcane will be paid in 14 days in UP, said the Prime Minister. But this is not happening. Farmers are being paid in 11 months. Crop is not being purchased on MSP. We will also send messages to the youth of UP through social media under this ‘Mission UP’.
