New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi’s Twitter handle was hacked for a while, during which tweets were made regarding the legalization of bitcoin. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) made the announcement on Sunday morning. Immediately after Mr Modi’s Twitter account was hacked, it was restored and secured and the issue has been raised with Twitter. The PMO tweeted, “Prime Minister Modi’s Twitter handle hacked for a while. The issue has been raised with Twitter and the account has been restored and saved immediately. Ignore tweets that have been hacked. ”

Prime Minister Modi’s Twitter account was hacked late Saturday night at around 2 p.m. Meanwhile, tweets from his Twitter account called for bitcoin to be given legal recognition. The first tweet after the hack was deleted a few minutes later and the same tweet was re-posted. This tweet has since been removed.

Some users have shared screenshots of tweets after Mr Modi’s Twitter account was hacked.

The hacked Twitter account said, “India has officially legalized the bitcoin and the government is buying 500 BTC and distributing it among the people.”
