Supreme Court New Delhi: Political parties have started blaming each other for alleged irregularities in the sale and purchase of land in Ayodhya , Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday, UP Congress in-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a press conference at the party office in Delhi. He demanded that the matter be investigated under the supervision of the Supreme Court of India. Almost every household in the country has donated something to the Ram Mandir Trust. A door-to-door election campaign was also launched. It is a matter of devotion and is being toyed with.

Priyanka Gandhi said that pieces of Dalit lands which could not be bought were consumed. Priyanka Gandhi claimed that some plots of land were of low value and were sold to the trust at exorbitant prices. This means that there is a scam regarding the amount collected through donations.

Priyanka said the UP government had said it would conduct an inquiry but the inquiry would be conducted by a district magistrate level officer. “How can there be a proper investigation in a case where the mayor is a witness?” He asked. The Congress leader said that when a trust has been formed on the orders of the Supreme Court, there should be an inquiry into the matter at the Supreme Court or at its level.

Priyanka said that no district magistrate has the courage to examine a person holding a senior government post. He said that it was the responsibility of not only CM Yogi Adityanath but also PM Narendra Modi. He said that poor people have also donated for Ram Mandir. It is a question of faith for the whole country. Its moral responsibility is not only of Yogi Adityanath. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also responsible for this. They must take responsibility.
