The authorities of St. Petersburg continue to increase the number of beds for covid patients.

Today, the number of infectious beds in the hospital of St. George the Great Martyr has increased by 100, the health committee reported on August 26.

“Thus, a total of 3,030 beds have been deployed under COVID-19. In the morning, more than 22 percent of the beds are free,” the message says.

Yesterday, beds were added in the children’s city hospital No. 5 and in the city psychiatric hospital No. 3 named after. Skvortsova-Stepanova.

According to the city operational headquarters, as of August 25, out of 2,930 beds in St. Petersburg, 2,347, or 80%, were occupied, and 199 people were in intensive care units of the “red zones”.
