The overall poverty rate in Russia is 12.1%. The highest level is recorded in Ingushetia, Tuva and Kabardino-Balkaria, follows from the data of the Ministry of Labor, presented by the Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technologies Andrey Lebedev at the Forum “Community”.

According to the department, in 2020 in Russia 17.8 million citizens had incomes below the subsistence level. The region with the poorest residents turned out to be Tuva (34.1% of the poor), a high level of poverty is also in Ingushetia (30%) and Kabardino-Balkaria (24.2%).
