Endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova published a post on her Telegram channel in which she explained how the usual coffee in the morning quietly provokes weight gain.
If you drink two cups of invigorating drink a day all week, you will get more than 2,000 extra calories, the specialist shared the details.
“There are estimates that two complex (with milk and syrup) coffee drinks a day a week can add two thousand extra calories, or even more,” the expert warned, noting that Americano and espresso contain almost no calories, and a cup of cappuccino with low-fat milk and no sugar gives all 50.
At the same time, she pointed out that 1 kg of excess body weight in a person is approximately 7700 kcal. According to the doctor, a month or two of daily trips to the coffee shop will certainly form a “nasty roll” around the person’s waist.
For this reason, the doctor recommended not to add sugar, syrups, honey, alcoholic and cow’s milk to coffee.
