A couple of pensioners in Volokolamsk could have been killed for the purpose of robbery: money and jewelry worth about 1 million rubles disappeared from the house. But there is another version: the owner of the house was tracking down unknown persons who had repeatedly stolen metal from his personal plot.
As it became known to “MK”, the tragedy took place in a private house in Panfilov Lane. On November 16, at about 8 pm, a 47-year-old resident of Volokolamsk, a lawyer of a private company, received a call from her acquaintances and said that they could not get through to her parents for a long time. The woman immediately phoned the numbers of her relatives, but no one answered her either. Then she asked the eldest, 24-year-old son to urgently go to his grandparents and reprimand them for not answering their calls. The pensioners’ house is located three kilometers away, and it did not take much time to travel. Already 15 minutes later, the young man called his mother and told the terrible news: grandfather and grandmother had been killed. Throwing all business, the woman, calling the police, rushed to her son.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found the bodies of a 70-year-old husband and wife in the house. On the body of a man in the area of the head, neck and shoulder blade, experts found chopped wounds, most likely the cause of death. Traces of strangulation and abrasions were found on the woman’s neck, and bruises on her face. It was also found that jewelry worth about 500 thousand rubles had disappeared from the pensioner’s room.
The relatives explained that the killers did not find all the money in the house. They also found it very strange that the gate was closed with a cable lock from the outside, and there was a bottle of alcohol on the table in the house, which the pensioners had never consumed. The last time they got in touch on November 15 at about 9 pm, no one has spoken to them since. The deceased woman retired in 2019, having previously worked as a nurse in dentistry. Her husband worked at a bakery before going on vacation.
The pensioners lived quietly, led a rather secluded life, they did not take guests into the house. Relatives do not know anything about any conflicts. The only thing that the deceased man complained about was that unknown persons who stole metal got into the habit of climbing over to their site. He saw the two men several times and even photographed one of them.
As the assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, Anna Tertichnaya, said, a criminal case was initiated upon the discovery of the corpses of pensioners under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons).
Recall that on November 15, in the Istra urban district, a 62-year-old pensioner was killed in the private house of the Novorizhsky residential complex – jewelry also disappeared from the house. The criminals have not been found yet.
