Traumatologist : Details of the amazing rescue of a 14-year-old schoolgirl who fell from the 22nd floor in Moscow have become known. The girl was saved by a snowdrift under the window, and she herself often complained to her friends about the lack of love and attention for her.
As it became known to MK, on January 29, three friends gathered in the apartment of one of them, located on the 22nd floor. On that day, the teenagers decided to try alcohol for the first time. After the party, one of them, 14-year-old Alina (not her real name), was found on the street by a concierge. The girl was lying in a snowdrift under the windows of a residential building. Incredibly, having fallen from such a height, Alina remained alive, moreover, she received injuries that were not life-threatening – a concussion, a bruise in her stomach.
Alina often complained to her friends about the lack of love. The girl said that she felt lonely and deprived. Although Alina has many friends at school, the girl clearly did not encounter bullying from her classmates. The schoolgirl studies averagely, the teachers did not complain about her. In addition, the teenager devotes time to creative development: he plays the guitar and draws.
Alina’s neighbors said that there were no problems in her family, no scandals were heard in their apartment. But, nevertheless, in December last year, the girl already tried to die. Then she was rescued, and Alina began to study with a teenage psychologist.
EXPERT OPINION
Traumatologist Yury Glazkova comments on whether it is possible to survive after a fall from such a great height and not remain disabled after that.
“I know many cases where people died by falling from a small height. But there are also cases when a person survives after falling from floors above the fifth and moreover, they get up on their own. Of great importance is where exactly a person fell: if on asphalt from a great height, then the cases of survival are probably one in a million.
As for this situation, here, of course, the merit of a snowy winter. It is also of great importance how a person landed: if such vital centers as the neck and head do not suffer during a fall, then the chances of staying alive increase. Again, the rule only applies when falling on snowdrifts or bushes, which will help soften the blow.
