Valieva : In St. Petersburg, at the Yubileiny arena, the Russian figure skating championship is coming to an end, within the framework of which the participants of the national team for the 2022 Olympics will be known. Recently, the champions of Russia in men’s single skating and ice dancing have become known. Today women will compete for medals – MK-Sport is broadcasting the competition online.

While we are waiting for the performances of Valieva, Tuktamysheva, Trusova, Shcherbakova and Khromykh, we will be glad for the winners in the sports couples. And there are new names!

Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov won the Russian Championship, beating Alexandra Boykova / Dmitry Kozlovsky and Evgenia Tarasova / Vladimir Morozov.

Competitions among women at the Russian Figure Skating Championship has started! As a reminder, the main tickets to the 2022 Olympics will be raffled off in St. Petersburg today. And five skaters apply for a trip to Beijing at once.

Now skaters from the first warm-up group are performing on the ice, having received not the best points in the short program. The most interesting is yet to come!

The main start of the season in figure skating is close to its end. On Saturday, December 25, women will compete for medals of the Russian Championship. Several figure skaters are claiming the “gold” of the national championship at once, and after short programs the situation became even more confusing.

After the first day of competition, Kamila Valieva is among the leaders, who won the short program with a world record . The top three also included Anna Shcherbakova and Sofya Muravyova. Pupil Evgeni Plushenko was fined one point on Friday, depriving her of second place in the short program.

Other applicants for a trip to Beijing-2022 after falling in the short program should be rehabilitated in a free program: among them Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Alexandra Trusova and Maya Khromykh.
