New Delhi: The weather changed again on Saturday in Delhi-NCR. The rain that started late at night continued till morning. The wind was blowing at a speed of about 15 km per hour. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast showers and snowfall in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours.
Rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh today and on January 23. Rain is expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim during January 22-24. Heavy rains are expected in different parts of North Punjab and Haryana on January 22. Rain is expected in northeast India for the next two days. On January 22, thundershowers and thunderstorms are expected in western Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
On January 23, strong winds of 20-30 kmph are expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Heavy fog is expected in northern Rajasthan and northern Madhya Pradesh during January 23-26.
It is to be noted that amidst the rise in minimum temperature, thick fog covered many areas including Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, on Friday morning. According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy fog prevailed in many parts of the state and this trend is likely to continue for the next few days.
