WHO : The global number of new Corona cases has increased by 71% compared to last week. But the good news is that the number of new deaths has dropped by 10%. This information was provided by the World Health Organization (WHO). According to the Xinhua News Agency, the WHO said in a weekly data on the state of the epidemic that from December 27, 2021 to January 2, 2022, about 9.5 million new cases were reported, while more than 41,000 new deaths occurred.

All regions reported an increase in weekly cases, with the United States reporting the highest (100%), followed by Southeast Asia (78%) and Europe (65%). The WHO said that while the number of new deaths in Africa has increased weekly, the death toll in all other parts of the world has decreased compared to the previous week.
