Former England midfielder, Wolverhampton legend Ronald Flowers, aka Ron, has passed away on Friday 12 November. He was 87 years old.
“We are sad to announce the demise of club legend Ron Flowers,” the Wolves press service said in a statement. “He was a giant on the field and a gentleman outside. All our thoughts are with those who knew and loved him. “
Flowers played for Wolverhampton from 1952 to 1967 and has 515 appearances and over 30 goals. Together with a club from the West Midlands, he became the champion of the country three times. Also on account of the football player 49 matches and 10 goals for the England national team, with which he became the winner of the 1966 World Cup at home.
