Zufi has unveiled “ZEDIT,” the company’s first social media publication, which mixes fashion, emotional well-being, and mental health in an aim to motivate and inspire women in a stylish manner. Introducing Zufi Alexander, the leading handbag, accessory, and shoes designer in the fashion industry. She currently delivers the best of her creations and has thus far collaborated with a wide range of fashion firms.
Zufi joined Christie’s in London, UK, after finishing her schooling, where she spent five years cultivating her passion for fashion and luxury. After observing her dedication and the tremendous fame she attained within Christie’s for sketching handbags, one of Christie’s directors reportedly gave her the advice to start her own handbag company. Zufi nodded in agreement and grinned, then in May 2004, she launched her own handbag brand. Zufi claims that her mother’s “Jackie O colours and extensive array of purses” quickly started to inspire her. She later acknowledged that her mother’s design choices had an impact on her, allowing her to feel fashion in her blood and develop an incredibly refined sense of style.
Her many trips were cited as an inspiration, and she claimed that after meeting women from all over the world, she realised how crucial it is to provide women with intellectual and emotional support so they may accept themselves rather than face condemnation. Since creating and displaying her own debut collection during Paris Fashion Week in 2004 and toting a Birkin bag at the age of 16, Zufi has worked to push the boundaries of achievement.
After being acclaimed as a “rising star” during London Fashion Week the following year by the Financial Times, Zufi was awarded the title of “New Accessories Designer” of the year. She was motivated by this achievement to create limited-edition bags for Louis Vuitton clients for the club’s VIP area, “Celux,” in Tokyo, Japan, that same year. Additionally, in 2006, she made it to the finals of the Walpole Award for Excellence’s Best Emerging British Luxury Brand, and in 2007, the French luxury handbag company Morabito appointed her as its “Creative Director.”
In 2008, Zufi had to make two challenging decisions: first, she partnered with Giuseppe Zanotti to introduce a line of fall shoes in exchange for designing his bags, and second, she introduced her own jewellery line with Erickson Beamon. She collaborated with Isetan Japan from 2009 to 2011 to develop a new private line. The next year, she began serving as a design consultant, notably for the Zufi Alexander relaunch, for an Austrian luxury brand. In 2012, she organised a “Four Seasons” event in Paris, George V, for the press, broadcasters, and bloggers. She has provided consultancy services since 2017 in collaboration with a number of different companies.
For the magazine, Zufi Alexander has lofty goals. She envisions ZEDIT being a well-known, opulent social media publication that showcases expressive styling for clothing, accessories, shoes, denim, sunglasses, lingerie, and jewellery. What you wear can have an impact on how you feel internally, she claimed, as what you wear is decided by how you sense.
